The recent Press of Atlantic City story about John Granese got the attention of "Il Mattino"
Ocean City Barons owner John Granese was recently featured in an article in the Press of Atlantic City ("Soccer is a way of life for Ocean City Barons’ owner" - June 29, 2009), but the recognition for his passion for the game of soccer did not stop there. His story reached all the way across the Atlantic Ocean to his home country of Italy where he showed up in "Il Mattino," a daily newspaper that covers Naples and the whole region of Campania.
Granese says it’s one of the biggest newspapers in Southern Italy. Granese grew up in Montella, Italy, in the province of Avellino, thus, the interest from this paper. One of their native sons making an impact in the sport that he loves as the owner of one of the best PDL teams in North America.
