Finley scores late equalizer against Germany in Milk Cup

Former Ocean City Baron Ryan Finley (Rancocas Valley HS / Lumberton, NJ) has been keeping busy this summer. Playing club soccer with PDA and now is in Northern Ireland playing for the United States Under-18 National Team in the Milk Cup. After a 2-1 loss to Denmark on Monday, Finley was the hero on Wednesday, scoring on a header in the 87th minute to earn a point in a 1-1 draw with Germany. The U.S. plays Israel on Friday. See the video below of Finley’s equalizer against Germany.

Finley, at the age of 17, played in nine games for the Ocean City Barons last year, scoring two goals. The Rancocas Valley High School star scored his first goal on May 14, 2008 against the New Jersey Rangers, which made him the youngest player to ever score for the Barons in club history at 17 years, 47 days. The Barons are hopeful that Finley will return to play in Ocean City during the summer months after he begins his freshman year of college at Duke University this Fall.
